چکیده

Abstract In this work, we investigated the effects of vacuum pumping on both loading efficiencies and release kinetics halloysite nanotubes filled with drug molecules dissolved in ethanol. As model drugs, salicylic acid sodium diclofenac were selected. For comparison, was conducted platy kaolinite to explore key role hollow tubular morphology filling mechanism halloysite. The pressure conditions used protocol interpreted discussed basis thermodynamic results provided by Knudsen thermogravimetry, which demonstrated ethanol confinement inside cavity. Several techniques (TEM, FTIR spectroscopy, DLS $$\zeta$$ ζ -potential experiments) employed characterize nanoclays. Besides, drugs studied according mechanism. This work represents a further step for development nanotubular carriers tunable feature based localization into carrier. Graphic abstract efficiency is enhanced reduction protocol.

Nanocomposites Based on PCL and Halloysite Nanotubes Filled with Lysozyme: Effect of Draw Ratio on the Physical Properties and Release Analysis

Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were loaded with lsozyme, as antimicrobial molecule, at a HNTs/lysozyme ratio of 1:1. Such a nano-hybrid was incorporated into a poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) matrix at 10 wt % and films were obtained. The nano-composites were submitted to a cold drawn process at three different draw ratios, λ = 3, 4, and 5, where λ is l(final length)/l0(initial length). Morphology, ph...
